Thanks to our partners at hungrygiantrecycling.com, Break it Down can now take organic material from various waste streams and turn it into varied products such as fertilizers and soil amendments!

JUICELAND
Our journey with Juiceland began in 2009 at the iconic Barton Springs location. They wholeheartedly embraced Break it Down’s mission long before composting became a mainstream practice in Austin.
Over the years, both Juiceland and Break it Down have evolved together, bearing witness to the transformation and growth that Austin has experienced. It’s hard to imagine, but in the time that Juiceland has been working with Break it Down, they have diverted close to 15,000 tons of organic waste from landfills – talk about producer responsibility!

Break it Down was founded in 2009 by partners Jeff Paine and Melanie MacFarlane.
What began as a recognition that no composting services were available for local businesses has grown to include the most comprehensive recycling and composting service in Austin.
